MARION SCHRAMM
Marion Schramm is a production designer and art director who has worked on numerous films, most prominently Winter Palace, Foster Boy, The Awakening of Motti Wolkenbruch , My Wonderful Wanda and Youth. After studying cinema and economics at the University of Zurich, she took up studies at the ETH Zurich and the UDK Berlin, qualifying as an architect (MSc ETH Arch). Whilst studying, she also started working in film, making a short movie, and gaining experience as an architect with Meili Peter Architects, Zurich.
Since 2001 Marion Schramm has been employed in different positions in the film industry, including as a production assistant, script supervisor, first assistant director, location scout and art director. During this period she was asked to design the studios for the movie Grounding, leading her to find her current vocation in production design.
Besides her work in the film industry, Marion Schramm has also been a lecturer at the F+F School for Art & Design, the ETH Zurich, the Academy of Architecture at the Università della Svizzera italiana and at FOCAL (Foundation for Professional Training in Cinema and Audiovisual Media).
